19th jan,14 Dear IDT-Team, vesterday evening arriving safely at my Goa resort I concludet my Karnataka roundtrip. I want to thank you for the perfect organization and the possibility to see such plenty of historicallyan culturally outstanding places. The trip has been an unforgettable experience. The hotels were good and all the guides were excellent. They had profound knowledge of the respective history and culture of the sites and could answer all questions arising in view of the archtectural highlights. This has been very rewarding for me, being a sociologist with an academic career. Last but not least I would like to mention Mr. Prakhash. Apart from being a very skilful driver able to tackle all upcoming often difficult traffic situations. Foremost he is the most pleasant, polite, and patient Person one could ask for. I wanted to emphasze that in the Company of Mr. Parkash I enjoyed a very comfortable and secure journey. I hope future will provide him a Chance to develop his natural skills and assets further an play a significant role in Indian Tourism. After sharing 10 days in a vehicle going Long distaces from place to place I know what I am talking about. Once again, thank you all for making my trip such wonderful experience. Yours sincerely Gertraud Schindler

Dear IDT, We very much enjoyed the Tour. Would have liked a few more days in South India. Our Driver Saji was fantastic .He is the best driver I have ever seen .He is very pleasant, anticipated all our needs & respectful I would have him any time .Regarding accommodation, stay in Taj fort Aguada,Goa, Taj Malabar, Cochin, Spice village Thekkady, were excellent. But Hoiliday Inn Gems park at ootty was not at all good & a poor choice. House boat experience from Kumarakom to Alleppey was wonderful. All the sightseeing programmes at Goa,Cochin, ootty,Munnar,Thekkady & kumarakom were excellent .But in Goa we should have had a list of restaurants.

Hello Hrishikesh, Sorry for the delay in giving you feedback, but our work has kept us very busy. In general, all four of us very much enjoyed our trip. The Temples and culture, the people and South Indian culture(s), the villages we visited and the cities, the shopping and sight-seeing, the ancient hills and sound of cows coming home in the twilight ,and the wonderful (though sometimes hardships) of the rhythms of life were very vivid and vibrant. We loved that President and Mrs. Obama were in India when we were, and that we both visited the Gandhi museum in Bombay within one week of each other. We visited wonderful Ashrams and two villages off-the-track as well. What made our trip so special was the care by which you, the drivers, and others provided for us every day. Our drivers went out of their way on our direction on several occasions to let us see places not “on the destination”, but what were very pleasing experiences. Mr. Simple, in particular, was especially patient and sensitive since Indian driving is not always calm, and was very friendly to talk to. Our two other drivers and one guide also got the job done for us as well. The accommodations were excellent. I would recommend all accommodations—they were all clean and the staff attentive. We love Indian food anyway, but the food provided at both road-side stands (thalis) and buffets and menus at the hotels were excellent. None of us got really sick for the whole three-weeks so everyone took good care of us! If I had anything to change, it was the hotel arrangement which had us a driving many KM’s at night in Kerala after a full day in Cochin to the beach resort there. On this trip, it was hard to minimize the night driving because we insisted on seeing so much in all the day light and our drivers wanted to let us see it. So we had a “perfect trip”, and shared it with so many of our American friends in pictures. We would recommend Destination Tours to others who want to go to South India. You provided excellent, informed, responsive service, and a sense of trust and confidence visitors want when they visit a new place with its own culture and ancient civilization. Thank you. Our trip was wonderful. We visited bengaluru, ootty, wayanadu, cochin, houseboat and trivandrum. The stay at savannah sarovar at bengaluru was excellent and the food was good. The saty and food at brindavan garden mandya was good and same was the case with savoy hotel ooty and casino hotel cochin. At vythiri resort wayanadu the stay was good and the food was satisfactory. When it came to houseboat the stay was excellent and the food was very good and the experiences were similar when it came to the leela kempiniski trivandrum and the travancore heritage. When it came to transportation the bus was in a very good shape and the services were very good. The driving was very safe. We liked the sight seeing programs arranged at bengaluru, mandhya, ootty, wayanadu, cochin, houseboat and trivandrum

Dear Hrishikesh,The tour has been a real pleasure for us: every thing was perfect. The choice for the hotels and resorts was exactely according our desire and even more than we expected. The places we visited were perfectly choosen. Our driver was a very good man: always on time, knowing the places we visited, speaking english, and last but not least, driving very carefully. I recommand this tour. I did it with my husband and both we are very happy!

Dear Mr Hrishi, A very Happy New Year to all of you'll too. Apologize for the late reply but have been caught up with other stuff. Our vacation was wonderful. Havelock is a beautiful pristine destination & we are hoping that the locals & the Indian Govt realize how special it is & keep it that way. Barefoot at Havelock is a wonderful resort & exactly what we were looking for. In future if you were to recommend this destination to other tourists would suggest that you recommend they take the Makruzz ferry instead of the government ferry both ways since its was a much pleasanter journey getting back to Port Blair for us. The Hotel at Port Blair was very nice too so many thanks for all the pains you went through coordinating this trip for us. Thanks again, Best Regards, Mehernaz & Neville

Dear Hrishikesh, I'm sorry that it has taken so long since our arrival home to write. Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday & the superb organization. I keep assuring people that India is really a very easy destination. Tony is continuing to improve and I feel so much happier after the trip away. Friends & family thought we were silly to attempt the trip. We had no doubts about going but it all exceeded our expectations. So our very sincere thanks to you. You are very welcome to pass on our phone number to anyone who would like to hear of our experiences with the agency - 02 9427 5812. Phone calls are very cheap with Australia so it's no trouble for anyone to ring from interstate. All the best for the future. With regards from Tony & myself,

ACCOMMODATION: HOTEL STAY FOOD CLUB MAHINDRA MUNNAR The hotel was very clean and the room service and housekeeping were good. The only glitch was during checkout time when the guy at the reception was not willing to complete the checkout promptly. The breakfast was great. The dinner was fine, just a lot of use of masalas in their curries which probably can be toned down. TAJ GATEWAY RESIDENCY ERANAKULAM The stay was excellent once we got through the check in. The hotel service was excellent. At check in we were asked to provide a photo id for all occupants of the room. Unfortunately everyone did not possess an id. It would help if IDT specifies that on their general information section. The food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. No complaints. The waiters were excellent. A/C HOUSEBOAT The house boat staff was excellent. It was definitely clean except for the bed sheets which could have been a little cleaner. In addition it would be nice if more than 1 towel is provided per family. The plates/glasses/spoons etc were very clean. On the whole it was an excellent experience. The food was excellent, especially the fried fish. ZURI HOTEL KUMARAKOM This was a beautiful hotel. Again the staff was excellent. The room was great too. Again we were asked for the id. It would be nice for IDT to specify the requirement for an id to all its customers. The food was excellent. They did prepare pasta that I requested for my daughter. On the whole an excellent hotel. TRANSPORTATION AND DRIVER Mr Saji arrived quite promptly on the day of the tour. He was very helpful and a safe driver. He did stop to let us know of view points and did stop when requested to let us capture some of the beauty on the way to and within Kerala. He also suggested the elephant ride and speed boat which we enjoyed at Munnar. Also Saji stopped at good selection of restaurants for lunch. He was excellent!!! SIGHT SEEING: MUNNAR We visited the dam. My daughter enjoyed the elephant ride, speed boat. We could not visit the Tea museum as it was closed. The drive within Munnar was beautiful. COCHIN Personally thought the Dutch Palace/St Francis church, fishing nets were not really worth it after the long drive to Cochin. However the Kathakali performance was excellent and worth seeing. HOUSEBOAT The scenery was beautiful through out the boat ride KUMARAKOM We did not do much sight seeing. Zuri resort was beautifully architected so we just relaxed there. We got a chance to see the Kathakali performance which was nice GUIDE SERVICE The guide at Cochin was helpful and did his part explaining about the Dutch Palace/St Francis church and fishing nets. Mr Saji too provided his services during the drive. HOW DO YOU ASSESS THE ENTIRE TOUR? On the whole an excellent trip with a great choice of hotels in the package. SUGGESTIONS IF ANY: Would have loved to eat some Kerala food like Avial but did not see it on the buffet menu in any of the restaurants. Probably I should have suggested that before our house boat trip. In addition please provide the information regarding requirement for an ID for the entire group so there are no surprises during check in.

Sir, In the 6th May morning your representative cum driver well received us in railway station and take away to the hotel named The RENIASSENCE and give us the total hotel vouchers of our trip and also the gifts from your company. We are very pleased for your way of receiving and the gifts from you. Thank you for that. First day our trip in cochin city , rural canal cruise trip and the evening kathakali show is a good experience for us. The hotel is good and the food is ok. Next day(7th may) early morning we move to munnar. The way from cochin to munnar we enjoyed. In Munnar we stay in The Sienna village. We stayed here very comfortable. The food is ok. We saw the Tea Museum, mattupatty dam and rajamala and a long way of tea gardens at munnar. totally our munnar trip is wonderful. 9th May morning we leave to Tekkedy. The way of munnar to tekkedy is really good. We enjoy the journey. In Tekkedy we stay in Treetop. We saw plantation of spices, boat ride in periyar lake and also in the evening we covered the kerela"s old Marshal Art show at Tekkedy. And also we utilise the trekking programme given by you It's really a good experience for us. So we totally enjoyed the tekkedy trip and the staying in treetop is good. The food is ok. on 11th morning we begin our journey to exiting house boat in Kumarakoan. The road journey is good. We enjoy the three and half hours journey and then we entered the house boat(Gokul cruise). w e are very much thankful to you for the memorable house boat journey. It gives us a nice and new experience to us. (And a small thing we want to tell you that please don't stop the cruise in the night's at any noise place like churches or temples. It kills the beauty of silence in night's we face the trouble in that night by full night heavy noise songs from near by church) and next day(12th may) we reached to Alleppy by the beautyful house boat arranged by you and in the house boat we got a wonderful food experience . We thing the entire trip we got the best food experience in house boat. next from alleppy to kovalam we enjoy the kerela highway journey and in the kovalam we enjoy the beach in the evening it's good. In the kovalam the hotel uday samudra it is good and the food also it is ok. And the next day morning we go to kanyakumari and we enjoyed the full day in kanyakumari and the late night we reached the kovalam resort. And the next early morning(14th may) your representative cum driver leave us in Trivendrum railway station. So our entire trip is very good and it is lifelong memorable for us. We think the amount for this trip is not big because your arrangements for us (hotels, vehicle and a good representative cum driver). One thing we didnot understand the paper given by you for report in the first day morning your men asked us to give the papers with our report compulsory in the end of the journey. But we have no time leasurely to write our detailed report like above we ask your men to give us the papers we fill it and post to you but your representative completely denied it that is why we give the empty report papers only with my signature . Please understand and excuse us for that. we once again finally thanking you for your wonderful arrangements for us we compulsory recommend our friends and relatives your company's name for their holiday trips in south India especially in Kerela.

The experience we had by the tour arranged by IDT was excellent. Our route was Chennai, mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, tanjore, trichy, Madurai, periyar, Kumarakom, houseboat, Cochin and kovalam. We began our tour from Chennai. We stayed at radha park inn there. It was a pleasant stay and the service was good and the food too. At mahabalipuram we stayed at the chariot beach resort which was a beautiful hotel and the food was ok. Next our stay was at the anantha inn at Pondicherry in which the accommodation was food was ok in terms. Our next destination was tanjore and there we stayed at the ideal river view resort. It was a beautifully situated hotel .We found the food ok. The next place we stopped was Trichy and there we stayed at the Jenny’s residency. We found the hotel ok but we didn’t have the meals from there except for breakfast which was good. The GRT Regency at Madurai is a beautiful hotel with good food. We liked the hotel. From Madurai we moved on to periyar and there we stayed at the cardamom county. It was also in a beautiful location and the rooms were nice. We didn’t eat from there. Our next stop was at Kumarakom in abad whispering palms. It was a beautiful hotel and the service was very good. And here too we didn’t have anything from the hotel. From there we moved on to the houseboat which was good, clean with a nice crew. The food was good. From the houseboat we proceeded to Cochin and there we stayed at the harbor view residency. The hotel was sort of ok and it was more or like in a business style. And there was nothing to get exited about the breakfast from there. Our last stop was at kovalam and there we stayed at the estuary island. It was a beautifully located hotel and we found the food was ok. When it comes to transportation and driver Mr. Nijam was a excellent driver. He was very helpful, caring and responsible. The advices he gave was very useful and the tips he gave always proved to be right. He made it a point to show India and his state in all the possible ways. The guide services in Chennai, mahabalipuram, Madurai were good. It was especially good in Chennai as it was the first stop and it was important to have a guide there. In cochin there was no need for a guide and he didn’t tell us more than what was actually there in the guide book. When we assess the tour as a whole it was a well planned tour, the sights were well chosen, and many thanks to the good driver and it was a great pleasure. One suggestion we have is that there is no need for any guides in cochin.

Our tour route was Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore, ootty, vythiri, Cochin, Munnar, periyar, houseboat and kovalam. The hotel savera at Chennai was clean, friendly and looking for service and the food was ok At the museum inn Bangalore we felt the behavior was a little oversized but it was clean, near by the city and it was good. The food was ok. Hotel sandesh the prince in Mysore was friendly, nice and ok including the food. The Sullivan court at ootty was hotel with a friendly, looking for service, good but it was far from the city. The food was ok. We found the rain county resort at vythiri as friendly, but it was lonely and very simple. The food was simple and ok. At renaissance Cochin it was decent, nice and very well and the food was ok. The seina village at Munnar was over sized and the personnel were looking for too much of money and the food was not among the best. The cardamom county at periyar was very nice, friendly and good. The food was good so was the room and services. The a/c standard houseboat was friendly, interesting and comprised of a good team. The cook was good and the food was rich and comprised of many varieties. At nikkis nest kovalam, the ambience was ok, friendly and disciplined but I didn’t knew that there wasn’t any beer or wine available there. The food was too expensive. Regarding the transportation and driver we found the car was ok. The driver was careful, friendly, explains every interesting things about India and after a few days he came to know what we want and what we doesn’t want. He showed us things outside the planned tour. He is a good man and he should learn better English. As for the sight seeing in Bangalore it was a good mixture between city and culture. In Mysore it was ok. In ootty it was in a state of forget it. At vythiri we stayed for only one night. At Cochin we had a very short time in the city but we found it ok. Again at Munnar it was forget it stage for a European it was too much the hills & mountains and it was very expensive. We found thekkady as very good a good mixture of city and nature. And when it comes to kovalam outside there wasn’t any bar and lone less. About the guide service we found the guide lady as charming and good women and she explained everything very well. When we assess the tour as a whole it was a good and interesting tour, a little more sea and less of mountains would have been better. We enjoyed the holidays.

The tour arranged by IDT was very nice. The Taj Residency at Cochin was friendly when it comes to personnel, and the breakfast was good. At elephant court periyar it was a very nice view and since we went there in April we felt the need of air condition. We found the pool wasn’t useable and it wasn’t also clean. The breakfast was ok. The houseboat had a very ice view with friendly personnel who were kind. The breakfast, lunch and dinner was in fact very good. And when it came to travancore heritage in kovalam everything was ok and the breakfast was very good. The transportation and driver was absolutely perfect. The driver was also a very good guide. He gave us very good tips and because of that we saw a lot of vice views. He was very kind and friendly. The sight seeing in Cochin, periyar, kovalam, was ok. The guide service was very good. We found the entire tour was nice and it was a perfect holiday for us.

Our tour started from taj coromandel Chennai. The room was very good, clean and had all the necessary facilities. The food and service was excellent. Our next stay was at the GRT Temple Bay Mahabalipuram. The room was large and clean. The facilities were ok. The hotel was situated in a beautiful location. The food was very good and so was the service. At Pondicherry we stayed at the promenade where the rooms were not very clean and the bathroom was very small. The roof restaurant was not good but the restaurant in the ground floor was good. At ideal river view resort tanjore one bedroom and one dining room was beautifully situated with a great bathroom. The food was good and the service was ok. In the gateway hotel Madurai, the hotel was beautifully located with a fantastic view with a large room and all facilities. The food on Board restaurant was not very good. But in the view restaurant the food was very good and the service was excellent. At the spice village periyar the bedroom and the living room was separate with a fantastic bathroom which was very clean and the room was excellent. The food was very good and the service was excellent. At the Kumarakom Lake resort the hotel was beautifully situated. The rooms were clean though the bathroom was small. But one must mention that the outdoor pool before the villa was great. The food was great and the service was excellent. At taj Malabar Cochin the hotel was beautifully situated with a fantastic view but the room was not very large. The food and service was excellent. At the leela kempinski kovalam the hotel was beautifully situated, the room was excellent but the bathroom wasn’t very large. The food and service was excellent. The transportation was very comfortable and the car was always very clean. The driver was excellent. We could not have a better one. He was always friendly and was extremely helpful in all situations. We congratulate you to this driver Mr. Saji. When it comes to sight seeing, in Chennai, the lady was excellent. At Mahabalipuram the guide was very good. In Pondicherry and tanjore the guide was very good. In Madurai the guide was excellent as he explained a lot and showed us some special beautiful things. In periyar the guide knew a lot of places but the spice tour was only 25 minutes. At Cochin the guide was good and his English was a bit difficult. The guide service was organized in an excellent manner. The tour was fantastic and there is nothing to complain about. The tour could not have done it better. We express our heart felt THANK YOU to IDT.

We had a great time during the tour conducted by IDT. We stayed at hotel travancore heritage in kovalam, aquaserene resort in kollam, the elephant court at periyar, le meridian at kochi and in a houseboat. At Hotel travancore heritage everything was tended in a perfect manner In aqua serene we found the suit good and the food was ok The elephant court at periyar also tended well in terms of accommodation and dining The a/c deluxe houseboat was the best. Also At le meridian in kochi we found that it suited as per our requirements The transportation and the driver seemed perfect for us The sightseeing in kumarakom was very good and we found cochi as a very interesting place b. At periyar we felt that the bullock cart ride was far better than the boat tour in the lake The guide service to the older part of cochin was very good. The working demonstration was a good idea. It was very very good in fact wonderful. From the experience of the tour we had we suggest that the travel by deluxe class in kollam would be better than the stay in deluxe room

Our tour was arranged by IDT and it was a splendid trip. Our circuit was cochin, periyar, Munnar and house boat. At abad plaza cochin the room was clean.. The stay was comfortable We found the food was good and we have a suggestion to make. It would be good to add some continental food in the buffet. The elephant court at periyar is an excellent hotel & stay. We should have stayed there more time. We found the staff and the whole set up was good. But we found a problem. The room we stayed was hot and the ventilation was bad. The food was excellent along with continental. We enjoyed Indian as well as continental dishes also. We found the tea county at Munnar was hopeless in terms of accommodation and food. The staff was arrogant. The place was good from outside but was dirty inside. We found the furniture’s old n rotten same is the case of toilets. The food was also hopeless. They didn’t even know how to make Indian food and there wasn’t any option for continental food. The food was very spicy and the staff was arrogant. The houseboat was good. It was a great experience. The room was like a sauna but it was ok. The ventilation of the rooms should be improved and the temperature control of the air condition wasn’t working properly. The food was good and the staff was also good. We preferred the food to be less spicy. The driver was very kind and friendly. He took care of us very well and suggested a few photo spots which were great. He needs to control his habit of over speeding and overtaking all the time. But he is an expert driver and he managed really well in many difficult situations. Regarding the sight at cochin seeing we liked kathakali, antique place where we had coffee and abad plaza and all together they were good places. The photo shooting at the Chinese nets were also great. At periyar the experience was excellent. The wild life tour the boat ride, the elephant ride, kalari everything was just great we would like to visit periyar again. At Munnar the sightseeing was good. But the choice of hotels and the attitude of people made all go wrong. We will not be visiting these again and never again to tea county. The suggestions we have is that the tour was in general successful. The destination Tours seems to take care of their clients. We thank you for great service. It was an excellent experience and it was a life time memory.

At ideal beach resort mahabalipuram the accommodation was excellent and dining was good The same is the case we experienced at the hotel annamalai pondicherry. But at hotel park plaza in madurai we had problems with the accommodation. We found the accommodation was poor but the food was good. The siena village in Munnar was good in terms of accommodation and dining our experience with hotel ambadi periyar was nice. The accommodation was infact very good and the food was good. The a/c standard house boat was excellent in every terms. Also hotel park central at cochin was excellent in terms of accommodation and the food was very good. Our stay at the cherai beach resort was excellent and the food tended was very good We enjoyed the accommodation which was very good and the food at the sadesh the prince hotel mysore. When it comes to the hotel hassan ashok at hassan the accommodation and food were indeed very good. At the vijaya comfort inn banglore the accommodation was good and the food was excellent The transportation and the driver were excellent and I am happy to mention that the driver was gentle The sightseeing in mahabalipuram and pondicherry was very excellent and at tanjore it was very good. The enroute to madurai was very good , the rock fort temple in madurai the beautifully painted temples are interesting. We found Munnar very interesting and very good. In periyar the overall experience was nice. the trekking was nice and We saw monkeys, wild pigs and we could only catch a trace of a footpad of a tiger. The elephant riding was good. the visit to spice garden and the boat tour were equally found good. The house boat was very good and we had many interesting things to see and it was a good relaxation. The experience we had at cochin was good with all the dancing and make up. The transfer with the ferry boat was beautiful and the fish fabric was interesting. At cherai we had a wonderful stay. Walking at the beach was a pleasant experience and we were interested in the fishes in the fishing boats. It was a very beautiful place with the water like little lake and all. The experience we had at ooty was nice. The toy train drive to ooty was nice. The bazaar was nice and the enroute was beautiful with needle like trees and eucalyptus. At ooty we visited the botanical garden where we found many types of plants and flowers similar to that of germany. In mysore the old palace was wonderful even though the drive was slow through the wild life reservoir because of many hair pin bends. At hassan the first temple we visited was small but the others were wonderful with many impressing figures. And finally in Bangalore the overall visit was very nice especially the visit to the tree garden. And we didn’t take the morning sight seeing The guide service was excellent. He was very gentle and kind and he took keen interest in looking after our extra wishes When we assess the entire tour we are happy as the arrangement was good for example staying for 1 night- 2 nights alternatively if possible. We were also happy with the arrangement of alternated sight seeings and offerings,

Thanks to IDT our tour was well planned and exciting. We stayed at hotel Sai Renaissance in Puttaparathy, Taj residency in Cochin, the elephant court at periyar, nikkis nest at kovalam and in a houseboat. At Hotel sai renaissance we found the rooms were Ok.We.were happy with taj residency hotel which is a very good hotel with the best of services. The assortment of dishes was good but we found the prices too high. The elephant court at periyar is a nice hotel and provides good service and the choice of food was unlimited The a/c deluxe houseboat was very luxurious and a great event. But we couldn’t sleep after 4 am because of the noise from driving of the boats and it was from there we got the best food ever The nikkis nest at kovalam is also a good hotel and the food was also good We got the best of transportation and driver as the driver was very good as he was able to master all dangerous situations and also he was a good guide. He explained many things. He was friendly and his services was excellent and most importantly he was able to understand English The sightseeing in puttaparathy was ok and in cochin it was very interesting. At periyar all went well except for outside the boating we found it noisy and less of animals The guide service was excellent

The tour arranged by IDT was good in everyway was well planned. We started our tour from Chennai. I Chennai we stayed at GRT grand days where the stay was ok and the food was good. After that we went to mahabalipuram where we stayed at the GRT temple bay where both the accommodation and food was in fact very good. Then we moved to tanjore. In there as room was not available at Ideal river view resort, we stayed at hotel sangam. It was just a standard hotel not so good but we found the food good. Our next destination was Madurai where we stayed at taj garden retreat madurai where the stay was very good and the food was good. When it comes to elephant court at periyar we must say both the food and accommodation was good. The houseboat was also good when it comes to food and accommodation. At Cochin we stayed at taj Malabar where the stay was very good and the food was good. Regarding the transportation and driver, the driver saji was excellent, professional and very friendly. The sight seeing at Chennai, mahabalipuram, tanjore, madurai, periyar, cochin were good. The guide service was good. When we access the entire tour it was good

We started our tour from taj Malabar Cochin. It was an excellent hotel along with service. It had a very nice view and people. The food was very good. The taj garden retreat at kumarakom was a beautiful hotel. The location was lovely and a delight. We wished we could have stayed there a bit more there. The food was very good and we HIGHY RECOMMEND this hotel. The next was the houseboat which was a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful boat with good scenery. It was an unforgettable experience. The food and service was great. At taj green cove kovalam it was an absolutely fantastic suite with our own swimming pool. It was an unforgettable and enjoyable there. The restaurant was wonderful with great food and excellent service. We HIGHY RECOMMEND this hotel also. The driver was excellent and the driver we got was the best. He was always helpful, considerate and kind. We were always safe in his hands. He is the highly recommended top driver of kerala. We will miss him badly. When it comes to sight seeing in Cochin the Kath kali was excellent dancing experience. The sight seeing was good. The boating was good in the backwaters. It was a very large boat for just two people which weren’t needed. In periyar there wasn’t nothing much to see. In kumarakom it was a good boat ride and sight seeing and it was a very relaxing place. At kovalam it was an excellent stay. We had a fabulous stay there. We didn’t venture outside as one of us was sick. We were sorry that we weren’t able to go 4 sightseeing in kanyakumari as both of us were sick. The guide service was good. We didn’t use it much except one morning in Cochin and another one during spice tour. The rest we explored on our own along with our driver. When we assess the tour as a whole it was an excellent tour- fabulous and well planned tour. The driver was excellent and helpful. We will never forget him and his kindness. The suggestions we have is that it would be nice to skip Periyar and spend more time in munnar and kanyakumari.

The choice of hotels throughout the tour conducted by IDT was good. We started with the taj Malabar hotel in Cochin. It was a good hotel and the staff was very friendly. The food was good and the staff in the restaurant was also friendly. The next was the tea county hill resort in Munnar where the accommodation was ok but the food quality was poor. The next was the Kumarakom lake resort where the accommodation was good. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. They had a very good choice of food. The last was the taj green cove resort in kovalam where we found that the accommodation was good. The food was good and the staff seemed to be very friendly and they had a good choice of food. The car and the driver were good and simple. In the sight seeing programs at Cochin there was a good variety of programs on the first day. The Jewish synagogue visit was pretty interesting. In Munnar there wasn’t much to see apart from tea farm and the mountain goats. During the sight seeing at Kumarakom it rained heavily but the boat trip was very good and the resort was also good. And finally in kovalam de resort was good and the trip to Trivandrum was also good for shopping and also the hotel was good. About the guide service the guide in Cochin was good and we didn’t have any other guide service other than that.
